Hospital Regional Río Grande protest planned following child's death
The family of a three-year-old boy, Tayron, has organized a peaceful march at the Hospital Regional Río Grande to protest his death on August 20. The demonstration is scheduled for Tuesday at 17:00 on Ameghino Street.
According to preliminary autopsy results, the child died from undiagnosed pneumonia. The family is pursuing a judicial case for medical malpractice, alleging that the child was discharged from the emergency room after only a few hours of observation without receiving necessary complementary studies.
The march, held under the slogan “let it not happen to any more children,” will include three minutes of silence to honor the child. Family spokesperson Gisel stated that the tragedy could have been avoided if the child had not been sent home without proper medical analysis.
