Hospital San Martín de Paraná acquires new pathology equipment

Hospital San Martín de Paraná has acquired a new Leica binocular optical microscope equipped with a Flexacam i5 digital camera to enhance its Pathology Service. The investment, totaling 15,190,000 pesos, was funded through budgetary allocations from the Ministry of Health of Entre Ríos.

The new equipment is designed to optimize the observation, analysis, and recording of histological and cytological samples. A key feature of the microscope is its ability to allow two professionals to observe a sample simultaneously, facilitating real-time interdisciplinary consultation and the evaluation of complex cases.

The integrated digital camera allows for high-definition image capture and storage, creating a digital documentary backup of each study. This acquisition is part of a broader technological strengthening plan implemented by the hospital to modernize its diagnostic capabilities.
