Hospital San Vicente Fundación celebrates 15 years in Rionegro

Hospital San Vicente Fundación in Rionegro is marking 15 years of providing high-complexity medical care to the Oriente Antioqueño region. During this period, the institution has treated over one million patients and generated more than 1,000 direct jobs.

The hospital offers specialized services including solid organ transplants (liver, kidney, pancreas), intestinal rehabilitation, and the only burn unit in the Oriente Antioqueño area. It also features neurofunctional security programs and oncology services, including the region's first PET scan capability. Despite the current financial challenges facing the Colombian health system, the hospital's director noted that the institution is working to maximize resources to maintain its comprehensive care model.
