Hospital São João Batista achieves top stroke care certification and upgrades ICU equipment

Hospital São João Batista (HSJB) in Volta Redonda has achieved the Diamond level certification from the Angels Initiative, the highest international recognition for stroke (AVC) care quality. This milestone follows the hospital's Platinum certification received just seven months prior, marking a rapid advancement in the standardization and agility of its multidisciplinary stroke protocols.

In addition to this certification, the hospital has modernized its Intensive Care Unit (ICU) through the acquisition of four high-end Mindray SV300 mechanical ventilators. The investment, totaling R$ 228,000, was funded by the Volta Redonda municipal government. These new devices are intended to provide more precise respiratory support and improved safety for critically ill patients requiring mechanical ventilation.
