Hospital São Paulo rejoins federal university hospital restructuring program

Hospital São Paulo (HSP-HU), affiliated with the Federal University of São Paulo (Unifesp), has rejoined the National Program for the Restructuring of Federal University Hospitals (Rehuf). The reintegration was formalized through an agreement between the Office of the Attorney General of the Union (AGU) and Unifesp.

Under this agreement, approximately R$ 112 million will be allocated to the hospital. These funds are designated exclusively for a work plan focused on teaching, research, and extension activities that benefit users of the Unified Health System (SUS).

Rehuf is an interministerial initiative involving the ministries of Health, Education, and Planning and Budget. The program aims to revitalize university hospitals linked to the Ministry of Education and integrated with SUS by improving physical structures, management, technological modernization, and professional staffing.
