Hospitality developments in Germany: Premier Inn and Meliá milestones

The German hospitality sector sees notable developments as Premier Inn and INNSiDE by Meliá mark significant milestones.

Premier Inn has opened its 75th hotel in Germany, located in Halle (Saale). This expansion marks the group's first entry into the state of Saxony-Anhalt. The new facility features 113 rooms, including 21 Premier Plus rooms, and includes a boardroom and a terrace. Owned by Saalesparkasse, the hotel is designed to integrate with the local cityscape near the opera house and serves both business and leisure travelers due to its proximity to Leipzig and the local airport.

In Leipzig, the INNSiDE by Meliá lifestyle hotel is celebrating its tenth anniversary. To mark the occasion, the hotel is hosting a week-long series of events from August 31 to September 6, 2026, featuring culinary, art, and music programming. A central highlight is the public Open House Festival on September 2, which allows visitors to explore various areas of the hotel, including suites, meeting spaces, and the rooftop terrace.
