Hospitality investments expand in Brazil with Hilton and Oca Hotels projects
The Brazilian hospitality sector is seeing significant capital investment through major hotel renovations and expansions.
In São Paulo, the Hilton São Paulo Morumbi has completed the first phase of a R$ 100 million renovation funded by HSI Investimentos. The project includes the introduction of a new dining concept called Ritus, a reconfigured 28th floor dedicated to wellness, and the renovation of executive rooms and the Executive Lounge. Additionally, 20% of the hotel's apartments have been converted to a higher category to meet demand for sophisticated accommodations.
In Alagoas, Oca Hotels has announced a R$ 400 million investment for the expansion of the Grand Oca Maragogi Beach & Leisure Resort. Known as the Riviera Maragogi project, the expansion involves constructing 432 new apartments. Once completed, the complex will increase its total capacity from 421 to 853 accommodation units, positioning it as the largest resort in Alagoas by room count by September 2026.
