Hospitality leaders discuss human connection and revenue diversification
Industry leaders in the Brazilian hospitality and tourism sectors are focusing on human connection and revenue diversification to evolve beyond traditional lodging models.
At the Meeting Festuris, part of the 38th Festuris International Tourism Fair in Gramado, experts discussed the importance of human relationships in luxury tourism. The panel, featuring Laura Rodriguez Merchán of Rosewood Villa Magna and Leonor Bernhoeft of LTN Brasil, emphasized that exclusivity in the high-end market relies on genuine connections, trust, and deep understanding of traveler needs rather than just physical infrastructure.
Simultaneously, the fourth edition of the Hotel Challenge addressed how hotels can expand their impact through new revenue streams, community integration, gastronomy, and real estate development. Executives from Hyatt Hotels Corporation, Rosewood São Paulo, and Novotel Morumbi highlighted strategies to transform hotels into service hubs. For instance, Novotel Morumbi is working to engage the local community to drive traffic and explore complementary revenue sources, while Rosewood São Paulo leverages its location within the Matarazzo Complex to attract diverse demand.
