Hospitality Tech Summit 2026 to explore industry technology

The Hospitality Tech Summit 2026 is scheduled for October 22 at Trident Park in Birkirkara, Malta. Organized by Smart Technologies in partnership with Oracle Hospitality, the event aims to address how technological integration can drive business performance and improve guest experiences.

Joe Aquilina, CEO of Smart Technologies, noted that while hospitality is centered on people, technology plays a critical role across the entire business, including day-to-day operations, food and beverage services, and financial performance. The summit focuses on how various systems can work together to provide measurable business value.

Technological advancements in the sector include AI-powered booking systems, mobile applications for remote check-in and room control, and smart room technology utilizing Internet of Things (IoT) devices. These innovations allow guests to manage lighting, temperature, and entertainment via voice-activated assistants or smartphones, while also facilitating streamlined communication with hotel staff through SMS and chatbots.
