Hospitals in Germany and Austria undergo facility modernizations
Several European hospitals are undergoing modernization to improve patient care and operational efficiency.
In Kamp-Lintfort, Germany, the St. Bernhard-Hospital has redesigned its emergency department registration and waiting area. The new space aims to reduce patient anxiety through a ‘living room atmosphere’ featuring padded chairs, greenery, acoustic panels, and nature films. The project also includes a new separate entrance and an additional shock room to better structure patient flow.
In Vienna, Austria, Klinik Landstraße has completed a year-long renovation to bring four new operating rooms into service. Spanning approximately 1,000 square meters, the project integrated high-tech requirements into a 1970s building structure. The new facilities are designed to increase flexibility for both scheduled and emergency surgeries, featuring specialized heating panels for staff and optimized workflows for medical teams.
