Hospitals in Montenegro and Croatia upgrade medical diagnostic equipment

Medical facilities in Montenegro and Croatia have upgraded their diagnostic capabilities through the acquisition of new ultrasound technology from GE HealthCare.

Pljevlja General Hospital in Montenegro has acquired a Versana Premier ultrasound machine valued at 54,692 euros. The device is equipped with four types of probes—convex, endocavitary, and two linear probes—allowing for a wide range of examinations including abdominal organs, pelvic structures, thyroid, breasts, and vascular assessments using Doppler technology.

In Croatia, the Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism Department at Zadar General Hospital has received its own dedicated LOGIQ Totus ultrasound device after nearly 20 years of sharing equipment with nephrologists. The new high-tech equipment includes linear, abdominal, and ‘hockey stick’ probes. It features advanced capabilities such as Doppler, elastography, and artificial intelligence-based analysis to assist in diagnosing thyroid diseases and monitoring parathyroid disorders.
