Hosui pear seasonal promotions held in Oita and Saga

Seasonal Hosui pear promotions are underway in various Japanese regions. In Oita Prefecture, the JA Town online shop ‘Marutto Kanshoku Oita’ is running a limited campaign offering 50 boxes of Hosui pears from Hiji Town at a discounted price of 3,500 yen per 5kg box.

In Saga Prefecture, JA Imari is hosting a ‘Hosui Pear Festival’ on August 29 and 30, 2026. The event will take place at four JA Imari direct sales locations, including the Imari Pear Sorting Station and Michi-no-Eki Imari ‘Imari Furusato Village’. The festival features the sale of fresh, juicy pears and includes a temporary reception desk for the ‘Furusato Nozei’ tax program, allowing visitors to apply for pear-related hometown tax gifts.
