Hot Chili expands high-grade core at La Verde discovery in Chile

Hot Chili has reported significant drilling results at its La Verde copper-gold discovery in Chile, expanding the interpreted high-grade core. A diamond drill hole (DKD060) intersected 472m at 0.41% copper equivalent (CuEq) from 49m, which included a 105.8m interval grading 0.7% CuEq.

Additional reverse circulation drilling also confirmed mineralisation continuity. One hole returned 182m at 0.5% CuEq, extending a previous intercept by 74m, while another returned 272m at 0.4% CuEq. These results suggest the high-grade zone remains open to the north and south at depth.

The La Verde discovery is intended to be integrated into the company’s larger Costa Fuego Copper-Gold Project in the Atacama region. CEO Christian Easterday stated that this integration is expected to enhance the scale and economics of Costa Fuego, which the company positions as one of the few remaining large-scale, near-term independent copper development projects globally.

Hot Chili is targeting a maiden mineral resource estimate for La Verde later this year. The company also plans to update the Costa Fuego Prefeasibility Study and submit an environmental impact assessment during the June quarter of 2027.
