Hot Wheels Legends Tour finalists to compete in Sydney

Five Australian finalists have been selected for the Hot Wheels Legends Tour, a global competition that aims to transform a unique vehicle into a 1:64-scale die-cast model. The finalists include a 1996 Mazda RX-7, a 1976 Holden Zeus Dominator, a Holden FJ panelvan, a 1955 Ford Cab Over Engine C-600, and a 2025 Spartan.

For the first time, the judging process will be held as a live, free public event at the Rosehill Gardens Racecourse in Sydney on August 30, 2026. A judging panel featuring Jimmy Liu, Director of Product Design for Hot Wheels, will evaluate the builds based on creativity, authenticity, and ‘Garage Spirit’.

The winner of the Australian leg will advance to the Asia-Pacific Regional Final online, followed by the Global Grand Finale in November. The ultimate global winner will be inducted into the Hot Wheels Garage of Legends.
