Groveland mayoral candidates Keogh and Fike advance to November runoff

Incumbent Groveland Mayor Keith “Chef” Keogh and challenger Judith Fike will face each other in a November runoff election. Although Keogh secured over 70% of the vote in the recent primary, Groveland’s selection process requires a runoff between the top two candidates regardless of whether a majority is achieved.

Keogh, who is completing his first two-year term, stated that the primary results affirm support for his administration’s focus on business growth and the introduction of new local services, such as schools and a potential hospital. The winner of the upcoming election will serve a four-year term following a recent charter change.
