Hotel Association of India to host 7th Hoteliers’ Conclave in New Delhi

The Hotel Association of India (HAI) will host its 7th Hoteliers’ Conclave on September 18 at the Taj Palace in New Delhi. Themed ‘Re-engineering Hospitality,’ the event aims to address the hospitality sector’s role in India’s economic development and its adaptation to shifting consumer behaviors, technological advancements, and sustainability requirements.

Scheduled to be inaugurated by Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, the conclave will feature prominent speakers including Tourism Secretary Bhuvnesh Kumar, G20 Sherpa Amitabh Kant, and former cricketer Kapil Dev. Discussions will focus on various industry facets such as artificial intelligence, talent acquisition, MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions), wedding tourism, and the sector's contribution to job creation and local infrastructure.

The event aligns with India’s long-term economic goals, including the Tourism Vision 2047, which targets a $3 trillion tourism economy and 100 million foreign travelers. This comes as India seeks to leverage its position as a fast-growing economy, with projections suggesting it could become the world’s third-largest economy by 2030.
