Hotel Esplanade receives international hospitality awards

Hotel Esplanade in Zagreb has received several international accolades, reinforcing its position in the global hospitality sector. At the European Hotel Awards held in Bordighera, Italy, General Manager Ivica Max Krizmanić was presented with the ‘Art of Hospitality Excellence 2026’ award.

Additionally, the hotel was named among the top ten hotels in Central and Southern Europe in the Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards 2026, making it the only Croatian hotel to appear on that regional list. The establishment also retained its MICHELIN Key for 2026. These honors coincide with an ongoing renovation of the hotel's rooms and public spaces aimed at preserving its historic art deco elegance.

In a related culinary highlight, Chef Ana Grgić Tomić of Hotel Esplanade has shared a professional recipe for a snail and porcini mushroom ragout. The dish, which combines forest mushrooms, snails, white wine, and cream, is presented as a gourmet classic that can be prepared in under thirty minutes.
