Hotel Gołębiewski in Pobierowo opens as Poland's largest hotel

The Gołębiewski Hotel in Pobierowo, Poland, officially opened its doors on 10 June 2024, welcoming its first guests a week earlier than the originally scheduled 26 June launch. The 13‑storey complex, covering more than 180 000 m² and offering over 1 200 rooms, is touted as the largest hotel in the country.

Designed to resemble a maritime liner, the building’s exterior features glass and concrete, while interiors are finished with marble, gold accents and crystal chandeliers. Guests highlighted a grand lobby with a piano, a large aquarium, and spacious public areas. The opening was celebrated with red‑carpet receptions, complimentary roses for visitors, and souvenirs such as a plush bear for children.

Construction began in 2018 and faced multiple delays, including setbacks from the COVID‑19 pandemic and the death of founder Tadeusz Gołębiewski in 2022. Despite the anonymity of the project's chief architect, the hotel has become a new landmark on the Baltic Sea coast.
