Hotel Ibiza Corso seeks to recover license with modified project

The promoter of Hotel Ibiza Corso has submitted a modified project to the Ibiza City Council in an attempt to salvage its macro-disco license. The new proposal seeks to reduce the establishment's occupancy levels, addressing the specific excess that led to the initial suspension of the license.

While the City Council indicated that a project modification is a viable path, the move faces legal hurdles. The Consell de Ibiza has previously stated that modifications cannot rely on the now-derogated pandemic-era exceptional regulations (Article 7 of Law 2/2020) to justify occupancy changes.
