Hotel JAL City Aomori partners with Shinpei Kurihara for regional cuisine menu

Hotel JAL City Aomori has announced a collaboration with culinary expert Shinpei Kurihara to offer a special breakfast buffet menu titled ‘Aomori Meshi that Goes Well with Rice’. The promotion will run from August 26, 2026, to July 31, 2027, at the hotel’s La Sera restaurant.

The menu features four dishes inspired by local Aomori flavors and traditional regional cuisine, utilizing local seafood and vegetables. The selection includes a seafood and aromatic vegetable dish with ‘Sanshō-zuke’, a seafood dish with apple vinegar jelly, a scallop ‘Kayaki Miso’ style bowl, and a ‘Nikujiru’ inspired bowl. These dishes are designed to be enjoyed with ‘Harewatari’, a premium brand rice from Aomori that has received a top ‘Special A’ rating.

Following the breakfast buffet, the hotel plans to expand these menu items to lunch, dinner, and banquet services to further promote the culinary appeal of the Aomori region.
