Hotel M in Zaton opened after retroactive legalization

Hotel M in Zaton, owned by Pero and Mary Ann Margaretić, has recently opened its doors after years of construction. Despite its presence on the coast, the building was constructed without an initial building permit.

According to the City of Dubrovnik, the structure was subsequently legalized in 2015 under the provisions of the then-valid Law on Handling Illegally Constructed Buildings. This legal process allowed the building to be regularized without needing to comply with existing spatial plans.
