Hotel New Otani Hakata announces tea pairing event and noodle pop-up

Hotel New Otani Hakata has announced several upcoming culinary events and limited-time offerings. On October 28, 2026, the hotel’s Japanese restaurant, Senbatsuru, will host ‘Nihoncha no Kai Vol. 2’. This event features a pairing lunch designed around pesticide-free Yame tea from Irie Tea Garden, hosted by owner Toshiro Irie. The menu includes pairings such as ‘Ara-momi Yame tea’ with autumn appetizers and matcha with sweets.

Additionally, the hotel is launching a pop-up shop called ‘Menya OHTA’ from September 7 to October 30. Supervised by Executive Chef Takahiro Ota, the shop offers a ‘Meat Miso Jan-men’ dish for 1,000 yen, which includes a side of mini rice to mix with the remaining miso. The pop-up operates during weekday lunch hours at the hotel’s B1 level.
