Hotel Phönix celebrates 70th anniversary in Bergneustadt

Hotel Phönix in Bergneustadt celebrated its 70th anniversary with a summer festival on August 8, 2026. Originally opened in 1956 as a recovery home for firefighters, the establishment has evolved into a four-star hotel that has been family-run since 2010.

The anniversary event featured tours of newly designed rooms and event spaces, a new playground, and regional exhibitors. The celebration was attended by three generations of the Kemmerich family: Egon Kemmerich, Andreas Kemmerich, and managing director Marvin Kemmerich.
