Develop Co., Ltd. has announced the opening of HOTEL R9 The Yard Hitachiomiya in Ibaraki Prefecture, scheduled for October 25, 2026. This facility marks the 19th location for the brand within Ibaraki and the 144th in the HOTEL R9 The Yard series nationwide.

The hotel features 42 rooms, consisting of 38 double rooms and 4 twin rooms. Located near the Naka Interchange on the Joban Expressway, the site is positioned to serve both business travelers visiting nearby industrial parks and leisure travelers interested in local nature and golf courses.

A key feature of the hotel is its role as a ‘rescue hotel.’ Designed with a ‘phase-free’ certification, the facility is intended to function as a disaster relief hub. In the event of an emergency, the rooms can be relocated to disaster areas or used as evacuation shelters upon request from government authorities.
