Hotel Villa and Café Lautaro reopen in Río Grande

The Municipality of Río Grande has supported the reactivation of the historic Hotel Villa and the continued operation of Café Lautaro. The facility, located at San Martín 281, had previously been closed, but has now reopened to provide new accommodation options and maintain a traditional gastronomic presence in the city.

During a recent visit to the site, municipal officials Gonzalo Ferro and Valeria Sánchez met with the owner, Juan Lautaro Díaz, to formally deliver the definitive commercial permits. Despite a change in ownership, Díaz has chosen to retain the name Hotel Villa to preserve the site's historical identity and connection to local generations. The reopening is expected to expand the local lodging supply and contribute to regional economic development.
