Hotelga hosts World Pizza and Empanada Championship

The Hotelga hospitality and gastronomy fair in Buenos Aires is hosting the first World Pizza and Empanada Championship. Organized by the Association of Pizzeria and Empanada House Owners (APYCE), the competition features 12 distinct categories designed to showcase technical skill, creativity, and culinary tradition.

Top prizes for the competition include a trip to Parma, Italy, for the winner of the 2026 World Pizza Championship, allowing them to compete in the 2027 event. Additionally, participants who achieve the highest average across the Muzzarella and Fugazzeta Argentina categories will win a trip to Madrid, Spain, to attend the 6th Spanish Gourmet Pizza Championship in 2027.
