Indonesian lawyer Hotman Paris Hutapea announced that his free legal‑aid program, Hotman 911, will be discontinued and he is searching for a successor. He said the new lawyer must be a top‑ranking attorney with a strong reputation, extensive networks, and sufficient personal wealth to cover the costs of representing low‑income clients, including transport and expert fees.

Hotman emphasized that the successor should be able to generate public attention for cases, citing his "No Viral No Justice" slogan as essential to securing justice. Although his son, Frank Alexander Hutapea, previously criticized the program as a publicity stunt, Hotman stated the decision to end the initiative is unrelated to that criticism and is driven by the need for a capable and financially secure replacement.
