A residential building in Dzierzązna, within the Nowy Duninów municipality, caught fire on Thursday, September 24, after 3:30 PM. The fire spread to the house, but the situation was prevented from becoming more severe due to the rapid intervention of a bystander.
A man passing by noticed the flames and began firefighting efforts before emergency services arrived. According to Captain Wojciech Pietrzak, a spokesperson for the Municipal Commander of the State Fire Service in Płock, this decisive action prevented the fire from consuming a larger portion of the building. No injuries were reported.
Emergency response teams included three units from the State Fire Service and two units from the Volunteer Fire Department (KSRG) from Nowy Duninów and Dzierzązna.
