House Fires Displace Residents in New Jersey and Damage Firehouse in New York

A fire erupted at a two‑family home on 122 W. Glendale Ave in Pleasantville, New Jersey, on Saturday afternoon. Firefighters contained the blaze by about 2:10 p.m. after rescuing a dog and a cat and treating one resident for minor injuries. Five adults were displaced and are receiving assistance from the American Red Cross while the cause of the fire remains under investigation.

In early Tuesday morning a two‑alarm fire severely damaged the Coldenham Fire Department firehouse and several fire trucks in Orange County, New York. The volunteer‑run station, serving Walden and surrounding towns, suffered extensive property loss but reported no injuries. Neighboring fire districts and community groups expressed support for the department as it assesses the damage and plans recovery.
