House Fires in New South Wales Prompt Evacuations and Investigations

A separate house fire broke out on July 20 in Unanderra, prompting the occupants—a 39‑year‑old man and woman—to flee safely. Fire crews contained the fire to part of the property, which suffered extensive damage. Police are investigating the cause of the Unanderra blaze, and the incident adds to the six house‑fire deaths recorded in NSW this winter.
