House Limerick to close, resulting in nearly 60 job losses

House Limerick, a prominent hospitality venue on Howley’s Quay, is set to close, resulting in the loss of approximately 59 full-time and part-time jobs. The closure follows an extended period of financial difficulty during which joint receivers, Interpath, sought a sustainable future for the business.

Interpath stated that the business remained loss-making and could not continue in its current form. A sale contract has been signed with Tribeca Holdings, a London-based company owned by Limerick businessman Aidan Brooks, which already owns the remainder of the building. The purchaser is expected to consider redevelopment options for the property, subject to planning and regulatory processes.

Opened in 2016 following the refurbishment of the former Clohessy's Bar and The Sin Bin nightclub, the venue was part of the House brand. The receivers have indicated that their immediate priority is engaging with employees through the statutory consultation process to provide appropriate support.
