House of the Dragon Season 3 premieres Sunday, June 21 on HBO
The third season of HBO’s fantasy series House of the Dragon launches on Sunday, 21 June 2026. Eight episodes will air weekly, concluding on 9 August, with the first installment streamed on HBO and HBO Max at 22:00 Brasília time (19:00 Mexico City, 20:00 Colombia, 21:00 Chile, 22:00 Argentina). The new chapter resumes the “Dance of the Dragons”, the civil war between the Black faction led by Rhaenyra Targaryen and the Green faction headed by Alicent Hightower and King Aegon II. The season promises larger battles, naval clashes and more dragons, including the anticipated “Battle of the Gaznate”. Showrunner Ryan Condal said production delays stem from the time needed to create realistic dragons, and described the upcoming episodes as darker and more violent than previous ones. Cast members confirm that on‑set tensions mentioned in the press have not affected filming. The series continues to explore themes of power, legitimacy and gender within the Targaryen dynasty.
