House of the Dragon Season 3 posters reveal Black and Green factions

HBO released a set of individual character posters for the upcoming third season of House of the Dragon. The artwork separates the cast into the Black Council, led by Rhaenyra Targaryen and including Daemon, Jacaerys, Baela, Rhaena, Corlys and Mysaria, and the Green Council, representing Aegon II’s side with Alicent Hightower, Aemond, Criston Cole, Helaena and others. Taglines on each poster hint at the characters’ motivations as the series approaches the climax of the Dance of the Dragons.

The network highlighted that the season, set 200 years before Game of Thrones, returns most of the previous cast and adds new actors such as Tommy Flanagan, Dan Fogler and James Norton. Production director Francesca Orsi said the extra time allowed the show to expand the Battle of the Gullet and improve overall scale. House of the Dragon Season 3 premieres on HBO and HBO Max on 21 June.
