House of the Dragon Season 3 premieres on HBO Max June 21

The third season of HBO’s prequel series House of the Dragon returns after a two‑year hiatus, debuting on June 21 on HBO Max with new episodes released weekly. Critics have given the season a perfect 100 % approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes, the highest of the show so far. Based on George R. R. Martin’s Fire & Blood and set roughly 200 years before Game of Thrones, the season continues the Targaryen civil war between the Black (Rhaenyra) and Green (Aegon II) factions, featuring large‑scale dragon battles and the anticipated Battle of the Gullet.

The launch is part of a broader HBO Max slate that also includes the horror film Sting: Aranha Assassina, the drama Parto Maldito, and the documentary series Ultras: Paixão e Morte, plus an official podcast that analyses each episode of House of the Dragon’s new season.
