HBO has affirmed that season 4 will conclude the prequel, with filming planned to begin in the spring. Production timing will depend on British weather and daylight, as Condal explained that the shoot must start in spring and finish before darkness returns. The series is slated to premiere after the 2026 release of season 3, with the final season slated for 2028.
