House of the Dragon third season premieres worldwide in June
HBO Max announced that the third season of the fantasy series House of the Dragon will debut in late June, with the worldwide premiere staged in London’s Leicester Square. The red‑carpet event featured about twenty principal cast members, including Matt Smith, Emma D’Arcy and Olivia Cooke, and showcased a replica of the Iron Throne for photo‑ops.
The new season consists of eight episodes that will roll out weekly on HBO Max, beginning with its first episode on 22 June and concluding in early August. The storyline picks up from the cliff‑hanger of season 2, continuing the civil conflict between the Green and Black councils as the Targaryen family battles for the throne. The series will be streamed on HBO Max in the usual Sunday slots.
The premiere highlights HBO Max’s ongoing effort to expand its original catalogue with high‑profile, internationally‑focused productions.
