Common household items like baking soda and toothpaste are being utilized for various cleaning purposes. Experts suggest that mixing baking soda with toothpaste creates a paste effective for removing stubborn stains from glass surfaces, such as shower doors, where soap scum and water spots accumulate.

Additionally, toothpaste can be used as a supplementary cleaning method for sink drains. Applying a small amount around the drain and rinsing with hot water can help remove surface residue and provide a fresh mint scent. However, it is noted that this method is not a substitute for deep cleaning pipes or eliminating deep-seated bacteria and mold.
