Household cleaning hacks using common ingredients

Various domestic cleaning methods involving common household ingredients are gaining attention as inexpensive alternatives to chemical cleaners.

One recommended mixture involves combining toothpaste with baking soda. This combination is noted for its ability to act as a cleaning agent, specifically for whitening and odor elimination, utilizing the natural properties of the ingredients to maintain household cleanliness.

Another method suggests using salt combined with ice cubes in toilets. The process involves pouring a cup of ice and a small amount of coarse salt into the toilet, letting it sit for five to ten minutes before scrubbing. While this may help loosen surface debris and reduce odors through mild abrasion, it is noted that this method does not provide complete disinfection and should not replace regular cleaning with appropriate sanitary products.
