Household cleaning methods for grout and stovetops

Various household cleaning methods have been shared to address common domestic maintenance issues, such as cleaning tile grout and stovetop grates.

To restore the color of porous tile grout, a homemade paste can be created by mixing two parts baking soda with one part hydrogen peroxide. Adding a few drops of dish soap can enhance the grease-cutting effect. This mixture acts as a natural abrasive and bleach to remove dirt, mold, and bacteria.

For cleaning burnt-on grease from stovetop grates, a method involves placing the grates inside a plastic bag with ammonia. The bag is sealed to allow the ammonia vapors to work on the grime overnight, after which the residue can be rinsed away. Additionally, gas stove burners can be cleaned using a solution of baking soda and toothpaste.
