When using robot mops on wooden floors, experts advise caution regarding moisture levels to prevent swelling and surface damage. Using specialized, pH-neutral cleaning solutions, such as those from Bona, is recommended to avoid leaving streaks or a film of grease and abrasion that plain water may leave behind.

In the consumer market, the retailer Penny is offering a significant discount on the Ecovacs Deebot Mini, a combined vacuum and mop robot. Starting October 1, 2026, the device is expected to be available for 149 euros, a 70% reduction from the recommended retail price. The Ecovacs model features laser navigation, obstacle recognition, and an automatic station that empties dust, refills water, and dries the mop with hot air.
