Household maintenance tips for laundry and towel hygiene

Practical advice for managing household laundry and bathroom hygiene includes methods for removing paper debris from clothing and guidelines for towel maintenance.

To remove white lint or paper residue caused by forgotten tissues in the washing machine, several techniques are recommended: shaking out the clothes and vacuuming, using a lint roller or adhesive tape, employing a damp microfiber cloth, or using a silicone or kitchen sponge. For more stubborn fibers, a hand brush may work, though care should be taken with delicate fabrics.

Regarding bathroom hygiene, body towels should be changed every two to three uses or at most every three days, while hand towels should ideally be replaced daily or every one to two days. Washcloths should be changed after every use. To prevent bacterial growth, towels should be washed at a minimum of 60 degrees Celsius and must be completely dry before reuse. It is also advised to use separate towels for the face, hands, and body to avoid irritation or infection.
