Household tips for whitening white socks

To restore the brightness of white socks without using aggressive chemicals like chlorine bleach, which can damage fabric fibers, a homemade soaking solution can be used.

The recommended mixture consists of hot water, baking soda, a drop of dish soap, a pinch of salt, and a small amount of vinegar. For best results, socks should be soaked in this solution for at least two hours, or up to five hours for particularly stubborn stains, before being placed in the washing machine.
