Housing and infrastructure projects progress in Paraguay and Nicaragua

In Paraguay, 113 families in the San Ignacio district of Misiones received new housing units. The initiative, supported by the National Social Housing Fund (Fonavis) and the Itaipú Technological Park (PTI), benefited four community organizations, including Ko'e Pyahu and the Santa Teresita Rural Development Commission.

In Nicaragua, ten families in Ocotal, Nueva Segovia, were granted social interest housing through a project costing five million córdobas. The investment was funded by the Nicaraguan Institute of Urban and Rural Housing (INVUR), the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit (MHCP), and the beneficiaries themselves.

Additionally, a potable water system project in the Santa María municipality of Nueva Segovia has reached 70% completion. Managed by the Nicaraguan Company of Aqueducts and Sanitary Sewers (ENACAL), the infrastructure includes a catchment dam and a water treatment plant, intended to serve over 750 residents in the communities of El Llano, El Coyolar, and Las Calabaceras.
