Housing auctions in Bizkaia see high rate of no bids

Data from 47 different auctions in Bizkaia between late 2025 and late 2026 reveals that 20 out of 52 auctioned housing lots received no bids, representing 38.5% of the total.

Of the 32 lots that did receive offers, the median maximum bid was 76% of the auction value. Only four lots successfully exceeded their advertised price. The auctions were primarily judicial in nature, concentrated largely in the courts of Bilbao and Barakaldo.

Geographically, Bilbao accounted for 20 results, with four receiving no bids, followed by the Left Bank (Margen Izquierda) with 17 lots. Specific areas with no bids included Santurtzi, Barakaldo, and Sestao.
