Housing Bank announces 9 projects to provide 7,000+ residential units in Bahrain

The Housing Bank of Bahrain has announced a major strategic initiative to launch nine new projects aimed at providing more than 7,000 residential units across the Kingdom's governorates. This plan follows royal directives to accelerate the delivery of 50,000 new housing units through partnerships with banks and real estate developers.

Registration is immediately open for citizens for the ‘Danat Madinat Hamad’ and ‘Danat Askar’ projects. The geographic distribution of the new developments includes three projects in Muharraq, two in the Capital Governorate, three in the Northern Governorate, and one in the Southern Governorate.

These announcements were made during the second edition of the Social Housing Innovation Conference and Exhibition 2026, organized by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning and the Housing Bank in collaboration with the GCC Secretariat. The event, held at the Bahrain International Exhibition Centre, focuses on digital transformation, construction technologies, and expanding private sector participation in social housing. The exhibition also features various financing solutions from participating banks and real estate developers to assist citizens in accessing housing.
