Housing developments launch in Tiel (NL) and Tremelo (BE)

In the Dutch city of Tiel, construction has begun on the Veilingkwartier district between Spoorstraat and Papesteeg. The project will ultimately provide about 325 new homes, with a concrete foundation already laid for the adjacent Lingecollege building. Local officials note that the existing road network, limited to two main access streets, may struggle with the added traffic.

In the Belgian town of Tremelo, preparatory works have started on the Kalvenne residential project. CORES Development received a parceling permit for 2025, allowing the creation of an auto‑low neighbourhood on a 3.5‑hectare site. Only 20% of the area will be built on, while the remainder will become public green space and a central park. Archaeological surveys are complete, and demolition of vacant houses and old sheds is slated for early March.
