Housing initiatives reported in Ecuador and Chile

In Ecuador, Cooperativa Ambato has launched a housing credit initiative aimed at helping families acquire homes. The financing offers an interest rate of 8.79% with repayment terms of up to 15 years. Manager Santos Chango stated that the institution aims to support the economic stability of Ecuadorian households through cooperative principles.

In Chile, a resident of Chovellén, José Suazo Estuardo, received a DS 1 housing subsidy amounting to 600 UF for the construction of a home on his own land. The benefit was delivered following a request made during a government field visit to the Pelluhue commune, involving presidential delegate Simón Recabal Salas and deputy Daniel Bustos Leal.
