Housing policy developments in Spain and Venezuela

In Jerez, Spain, the PSOE party is calling on the local government to implement a municipal plan for the construction of public and social housing. In Venezuela, the Venezuelan Chamber of Construction has expressed support for recent legislative changes and government direct subsidy policies. Rafael Torrealba, the chamber's first vice president, stated that the new legal framework is positive for stimulating housing demand and creating a new financial paradigm. He noted that the changes allow for official price indexing and could facilitate long-term credit, mortgage securitization, and increased investment in the construction industry, despite administrative challenges and inflation.
