The Houston Astros defeated the Sacramento A’s 4-0, extending the Athletics’ losing streak to five games. Hayden Wesneski led the Houston pitching effort, allowing only one hit over five scoreless innings.

Houston took an early lead in the fourth inning following a sacrifice fly by Christian Walker. The Astros extended their lead to 3-0 in the fifth inning through a Yordan Alvarez double and an additional RBI double by Isaac Paredes. The A’s offense was limited to three singles throughout the game.
