Houston Dash fire head coach Fabrice Gautrat and technical director Twila Kilgore

The Houston Dash have announced immediate changes to their leadership, firing head coach Fabrice Gautrat and announcing that technical director Twila Kilgore is leaving the club. Assistant coach Jaime Frias will serve as the interim head coach for the remainder of the NWSL season.

Dash president of women’s soccer Angela Hucles Mangano stated that the decision reflects a commitment to the club’s ambitions and a responsibility to evaluate the team's trajectory. The club has already begun searching for a permanent head coach.

The Dash currently sit 12th in the 16-team NWSL standings with a 7-12-5 record. Gautrat, who previously held assistant roles with the Chicago Red Stars and North Carolina Courage, was the sixth coach in the franchise's history. Kilgore, who previously served as interim head coach for the U.S. Women’s National Team, had returned to the Dash organization in February.
